The holdings of the collection may be viewed upon prior announcement to the Museum on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12.00 - 14.30.

The holdings of the Collection of Arms and Military Equipment contain items belonging to the armies that passed through Istria in various historical periods. The content is very diverse: cold weapons, firearms, military uniforms and a wide range of items that are classified under the common name military equipment, military insignia, emblems, ranks. The oldest objects are from the period of the Venetian Republic and the Habsburg Monarchy, while the most recent objects are those used today by the Croatian Army.

The collection comprises valuable examples of cold weapons (daggers, helmets, halberds, schiavona swords) dating back to the Venetian Republic while the 19th and 20th century period (Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, Kingdom of Italy, Third Reich, SFRY and Republic of Croatia) is represented by numerous specimens of cold weapons and firearms, uniforms and insignia of all types of military forces.
