The holdings of the Maritime History and Shipbuilding Collection list objects that testify to the maritime and shipbuilding tradition in Pula and Istria from the 18th to the 20th century. The collection includes numerous examples of navigation instruments (sextants, octants, compasses) and old shipbuilding tools from the late 19th century used in the K.u.k. Seearsenal in Pula.

Household goods collected during the scientific-exploration diving expeditions on protected submarine sites – the Austro-Hungarian passenger steamship Baron Gautsch, the Austro-Hungarian warship S.M.S. Szent Istvan and the Italian destroyer Cesare Rossarol are exceptionally valuable.
